Coaches Checklist

Congratulations on qualifying for the 2010 AABC North Atlantic Regional Tournament in Albany’s Capital District hosted by the Albany Twilight League. The tournament will be primarily conducted at Keenholts Park in Guilderland (just outside of Albany) and also a few games will take place at Bleecker Stadium in Albany.

Below is planning information for your travel to the Capital District for this year’s tournament. Please be sure to fulfill all the items on the “Coaches Checklist”.

COACHES CHECKLIST for teams to be eligible to compete in this Regional event:

Bring the following to the pre-tournament Coaches Meeting:
•           Your entry fee of $200. Checks payable: Albany Twilight League
•           Your certified, signed roster
*           Your league scorebooks
•           Dinner monies if you exceed two team reps for dinner (see below).
                      Checks payable: Albany Twilight League
•            Proof of insurance (must be K& K Insurance)


PRE-TOURNAMENT COACHES MEETING AGENDA:
(Meeting time and site TBA)

• Meal provided, courtesy of Albany Twilight League
• Hand in $200 entry fee upon arrival to meeting
• Distribution of brackets, tournament rules, AABC rules
• Review of tournament rules
• Review of brackets
• Certification of rosters using league scorebooks
• Verification of valid insurance from K & K Insurance
• Weather report, contingency plan
• Comments, feedback from previous World Series participants
• Question & answer

NOTE: You will be asked for your roster and league scorebooks to certify your roster has met AABC requirements including each player appearing in three games and being on your team roster (or another team in your league roster) before AABC deadline.

•            RSVP to Tournament Director the # of individuals attending dinner meeting.
                        Each team will be afforded two meals for any two team reps.
                        Additional meals will be at a rate of $15-$20 per individual.

                        - Names of Manager and Coaches
                        - Your overall record
                        - Full team name
                        - City/town
                        - How your team got here (won states, won league, winning streak, etc.)

Tournament T-shirts with each team’s name on them will be available for sale at the tournament. Pre-ordered team sales of 10 or more will be discounted.
